Knowledgeable and approachable, he is particularly experienced in Knee and hip replacements, Sports Injuries (Knee Ligaments and Meniscus) done through key hole (laser/arthroscopy), and spine surgeries apart from complex fracture treatment. To stay healthy, Dr. Khan plays cricket for the teams. When he’s not practicing, he spends time with family and their activities, and enjoys short vacations with good friends, he never forgets to watch late night Saturday movies with friends and family.
Academics
Dr. Khan did his MBBS from the prestigious Topiwala National Medical College and Nair Hospital. He completed his Master in Orthopaedic Surgery from Prestigious Sion Hospital (Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Hospital). He went on to do multiple fellowships from India and abroad. He did his fellowship in Joint replacement & sports injury from Seoul, South Korea at sanggye paik hospital, inje university under professor Jung Yun Choi . Dr. Khan also did his sports injury fellowship with Dr. Abhay Narvekar at Hinduja Hospital as his fellow. He has the privilege of doing a fellowship in hip replacement with Dr. Shakir Kapadia (HOD) at Saifee Hospital. Dr. Khan has also worked with Dr. D. Soonawala who is a very senior joint replacement surgeon and renowned surgeon in South Mumbai.
He is currently working at a very busy government BMC Hospital as honorary professor and incharge of the knee speciality department. Being a professor at a government hospital he enjoys privilege of operating upon most complex cases of trauma, neglected complex trauma and failed revision surgeries. Even today Dr. Khan believes that learning is never ending & ever evolving process hence he takes every opportunity to learn through various conferences and hands on workshops. He is attached to leading corporate like Holy Family Hospital – Bandra West, Criticare Hospital – Juhu, Kohinoor Hospital – Kurla West, Apollo Spectra Hospital – Chembur, Fauziya Hospital – Kurla West.
